I had a very HOT run this morning! When I returned from my long run there were not many dry spots on my shirt! I rushed into the shower!
While reading for my God time today there was a quote that I absolutely love in the “Mama Bear Apologetics” book. It’s from Theodore Roosevelt. “Do what you can, with what you have, where you are.” This is such a perfect quote for my life right now and for what I envision telling my future fitness clients (if I have any lol)! This idea can be applied to all areas of life, spiritual, physical, mental and emanations. Whatever your goals, if you just stick to this idea, you will see results and will make an impact! If we wait until the stars align or until everything is perfect for us to start doing that one thing we have been wanting to do, it will never happen!
Today was another work day! I pressure washed more of the house, cleaned out gutters and put together my deck box. The kids had fun swimming and playing together. In the evening Aaron grilled meat for us again for dinner! He is perfecting his grilling skills! We used the remaining hot coals to roast marshmallows!
We have so many projects we are trying to get done this summer so we can just enjoy this house! It has been in a state of needing so many repairs for so long that we just want to be done with it! My dad will be coming next week to help us paint the outside of the house and I will be working on the rooms upstairs so they are completely done when the carpet comes in. So within the next two weeks we will have a lot of newness in our home! I am so excited! Finally! I am so grateful for this process and I am blessed for the extra time to get these things completed.
We have resolved to mostly be home this summer. We do not have big plans, other than camping next weekend and having family at the campground for Addie’s birthday and then Addie will have her three friends join us the following weekend at a park to celebrate her birthday. Other than these things we have nothing planned are content staying home for the summer, especially with the cases continuing to rise. Our county health officials sent out a memo in the news pleading with the residents to be vigilant and to remember we are still in an epidemic. So that is what we will do:)
Final thoughts and challenge: I have been thinking on Rosevlet’s quote from this morning, thinking of what areas of my life I have held myself back because of thinking things have to be different in order to start something or feeling bad because I am not in a different situation to do something more.
How can you apply this to your life? “Do what you can, with what you have, where you are.”
